- Start at the Desktop (the screen that comes up when the computer is first turned on.)
- Double click on My Computer
- Double click on Dial-Up Networking
- Double click on Make New Connection. A new screen will appear, highlight and erase the words "My Connection", input VerdeNet. Click Next.
- The phone number for the computer you are dialing is: 634-8077. The back-up number is 639-1400. Click Next.
- The following message will appear "You have successfully created a new dial-up networking connection called VerdeNet. Click Finish to save it in your Dial-Up Networking."
- Click Finish.
- To Create a short-cut for this dialer, Right mouse click on VerdeNet, then left mouse click on Create Shortcut. The following warning will appear: "Windows cannot create a shortcut here, do you want to place it on your desktop instead". Click Yes.
- Close all the open windows, there will now be a shortcut to VerdeNet on the desktop.
- The first time using this shortcut, your username and password will have to be input. Make sure that the username and password are in lower case and Do Not include @verdenet.com.
